About Me

Oil paint is a tricky medium, but its flexibility appeals to my creativity. Oil paint has the ability to transform a natural landscape into an abstraction with just a palette knife. My work fully embraces the thick textures that are created from a palette knife while playing off of rich colors provided by oil paint.

The inspiration beneath the canvas is sparked by travel and color, both play such an important role in the composition, technique, and forms that are applied to the surface. This creates an abstracted environment of shape and color that is meant to inspire the viewer to explore their own desire to travel and witness marvelous landscapes!

I have also received my BFA in Fine Art from Mount St. Joseph University along with minors in graphic design and art history as well as my MA in Interior Design from Ball State University.
